Q1: Green Credentials: How can I be sure the ecocard™ products are really green?

Our products have been independently verified by the Din Certco and WRAP organisations, and every order is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Q2: Performance: Will ecocard™ products perform to the same standards as normal oil-based (PVC) cards and are there any situations where they can't be used?

Q3: Product Range: Can you explain the differences between the different ecocard™ products?

Recycled PVC: Made entirely from 100% recycled PVC card waste, and if you look closely you may see small flecks of colour in the material. Recycled PVC cards make perfect Hotel key cards.

PETg: Are plastic cards made from entirely non-PVC material. These cards are perfect for retail gift cards as they are 100% recyclable, so when your customer has spent the stored value they can be thrown into a recycling bin.

Ingeo™ PLA: These ingenious cards are made entirely from plants; not oil. The result is a natural plastic card made from a sustainable and renewable resource with no loss of performance.

Bloomcard™: A card made from 100% recycled paper, then laden with wildflower and perennial seeds! This means that when discarded (or planted) they will grow into beautiful wildflowers. These cards are ideal for any events where cards are likely to be disposed of afterwards. They are also a guaranteed talking point!

Q4: Environmental Benefits: What are the real environmental benefits of the various ecocard™ solutions, compared to conventional oil-based PVC plastic card products?

Q5: Cost: Why are the ecocards more expensive than your standard TPCS offerings?

The processes involved in developing, refining or recycling the raw materials takes time and is therefore more costly than producing standard PVC. This is currently reflected in the price differential, although we expect this gap to narrow over time as usage of eco-friendly cards increases and oil is depleted thereby increasing the cost of oil-based products.

Q6: Lead-times: What are the timescales for the delivery of ecocard™ solutions?

This will depend on the exact nature of the requirements and quantities, although we would anticipate that most orders could be satisfied within 3 to 6 weeks of confirmation of order.

Q7: Print Quality: Will there be any limitations or noticeable reduction in print quality?
